This record is deep hypnotic spiritual jazz straight from NYC underground scene. This time we are hearing from BRAHJA, presenting a new album by the same name. BRAHJA is a Brahja Waldman's Quintet's core ensemble expanded to 10 musicians coming out of Montreal, New York City, Washington D.C. and Chicago. After touring Canada and the US through 2015-16 and picking up members along the the way for this tour, recording began in the spring of 2017. Travelling to rural Quebec to begin recording at Studio Chocolat Chaud, a church converted to studio space run by drums/synth player Daniel Gélinas, and later mixed by Devin Brahja Waldman in NYC
